Hamilton Island Marina
Hamilton Island Marina is situated on the western side of the Island and offers 301 berths which are all well protected in the case of inclement weather. The marina is the aquatic hub of the island with charter boats and ferries coming and going to Shute Harbour and the other Whitsunday resort islands. Many cruising yachtsmen and super yacht owners base themselves at the marina whilst they explore the 74 islands of the Whitsundays. There is a wireless internet hotspot at the marina as well as laundry, shower and toilet facilities.
The marina is dredged to a depth of 4.5 meters. Vessels up to 55 meters are catered for and power supplies up to 125 amps can also be accessed. There is a boatyard with travel lift facilities to 65 tons and repair contractors for mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, shipwright and antifouling. There is also a refuelling station offering diesel, and unleaded fuel. The marina is walking distance from the airport terminal so accessing your boat is really convenient if you live in southern states and prefer to keep your boat here.
Boating visitors to the marina are welcome to use the restaurants and bars. Golf buggies are available for rental for those who wish to explore the island. During Hamilton Island Race Week the marina precinct becomes party central as the competing yachties celebrate their daily achievements.
